A Little Moment For Circular...
What exactly is Circular? Well, let me explain.
Circular is one of the ways we’re trying to make more sustainable choices here at Alterior. At its heart, it’s about giving clothing a second life. Our Circular rack is our way of encouraging our customers to bring their pre-loved pieces back into store, rather than letting them sit unworn in the back of a wardrobe or, even worse, end up in landfill.
Worldwide, more than 92 million tonnes of textile waste end up in landfill every year - a number that feels far too high, especially when so many of those garments could have a little more life left in them. As a small clothing boutique, we know we can’t change the fashion industry overnight, but we can make small choices that feel meaningful to us and our community.
That’s where Circular comes in.
The idea is simple: instead of saying goodbye to a piece of clothing for good, we give it another chance. You can bring in pieces you no longer wear, and someone else can discover and love them all over again. It’s a small shift in the way we think about fashion - buying less, wearing more, and making the most of the clothes that already exist.
On our Circular rack, you’ll find some of the brands we already know and love, including Bassike, St. Agni and SIR, alongside other labels that fit naturally within the Alterior aesthetic. Each piece is selected with the same eye for quality and style that we bring to the rest of the store.
For us, Circular is more than just a second-hand rack. It’s a little moment to pause and think about where our clothes come from, where they go, and how we can make more thoughtful choices along the way.
Because sometimes, sustainability doesn’t have to be a huge change. Sometimes, it’s simply giving something beautiful another chance.
