We Are Proof Of Life...

I read something recently that really stuck with me: getting older is a privilege. Not everyone gets to experience it.

And it’s true. Some people don’t get the chance to see time pass like this. To change, to grow, to become.

We spend so much time trying to smooth things out. Fine lines, grey hairs, all the little markers of time. As if they’re something to fix, instead of something that proves we’ve lived a life.

I’m starting to see it differently. Less about correcting, more about embracing. Letting beauty evolve into something softer, something more lived in.

Because the goal was never to stay the same. It was to get here. A little wiser, a little calmer, a little more sure of who you are.

There’s something grounding in that. Letting your face reflect your life. Letting your hair do as it pleases. Not attaching your worth to how untouched you look.

Beauty doesn’t disappear, it deepens. It becomes less about perfection and more about presence. The way you carry yourself. The way you know yourself. The ease that comes with time.

Aging isn’t something to resist so hard.

It’s something you’re lucky enough to get to experience.

Side note: this is a photo of my beautiful grandma.

There's A Chill In The Air...

It’s official. The temperature is starting to drop. Mornings feel sharper, the kind that make getting out of bed harder and running from the shower to your pre-warmed rope a must.

And then comes the question. What knit will I wear?

It sounds simple, but it never really is. The right one just slots into your day. Easy in the morning, layered as it cools off, always doing what it needs to.

I’ve been thinking about it too. A knit is an investment. Not just in quality, but in how often it earns its time being worn.  The good ones stick around, season after season, without needing to be reconsidered.

So if you’re in that in between moment, here are three that feel easy.

Bassike’s Classic Stripe Detail Knit in Grey Marl and Lemon. Relaxed, effortless, with just enough colour to lift things.

Bassike’s Wool Alpaca Contrast Knit in Walnut. Richer, warmer, the one that is constantly reached for.

The Rowie Lana Knit Jumper in Sky. Soft, fresh, with a slightly nostalgic feel. Like that jumper you wore when you were three.

Trends will come and go. But the pieces that work tend to stay.

Find the one that fits into your day without overthinking it.

Until next week,

Love, Ra xxx
