This Week, According To Rani...
The Creative Office...
I’ve always thought a workspace says more than people realise.
At our Noosa store, it’s a little bit of everything. iPads mid checkout, water bottles, lip gloss that somehow always ends up on the desk, and a screen with far too many tabs open. It is busy, slightly chaotic, but it works. You can feel the energy of the store in it.
The head office is different. Quieter, a little more tucked away. There are shelves, notes, coffee cups that go cold, and walls that slowly turn into mood boards without anyone really planning it. It feels less polished and more personal.
And that is kind of the point.
No two desks look the same, and they should not. Some are neat, some are not, but all of them feel like the person sitting there. It is not about creating the perfect space, it is about creating one that works for you.
Because the best ideas do not come from perfect desks. They come from real ones.

Taste or Trend...
“TASTE is deeply personal, shaped by your unique perspective, experiences, upbringing, and lifestyle. I believe it’s about creating environments, fashion and objects that inspire you and bring joy.”
But somewhere between the scroll and the checkout, I started to wonder - am I choosing it… or is it choosing me?
In a world where trends move faster than my morning coffee order, it’s easy to confuse the two. One minute it’s oversized linen everything, the next it’s hyper-feminine silhouettes and ballet flats like we all just casually live in a Nancy Meyers kitchen. And don’t get me wrong - I love a trend. I’ve been known to fall hard and fast. But taste? Taste lingers.
Taste is the way you always reach for that same worn-in tee, even when your wardrobe is bursting. It’s the gold jewellery you never take off, the scent people associate with you, the way your space feels distinctly yours - even if no one can quite put their finger on why.
Trends shout. Taste hums.
And maybe the real magic is knowing when to flirt with one without losing the other. Because there’s something undeniably chic about a woman who knows what works for her - and sticks to it, even when the algorithm says otherwise.
So, is it taste… or just a really well-marketed moment?
I think the answer lies somewhere in between. Borrow the trend, but filter it through you. Keep what fits, leave what doesn’t, and trust that your version will always feel better than anyone else’s.
After all, style fades. But taste? That’s the thing people remember.
