Velvet Canyon's sunglasses are handcrafted using high-quality cellulose acetate, a renewable and biodegradable material made from wood produced in sustainably managed forests and cotton fibres. To further enhance sustainability, the brand utilises bio-acetate for certain frames, which incorporates vegetable-based plasticisers. Additionally, Velvet Canyon has introduced Acetate Renew, an acetate made using recycled materials through a revolutionary recycling method, reducing the carbon footprint without compromising on quality.

Velvet Canyon uses biodegradable, vegan leather pouches, recyclable card boxes, and cornstarch-based envelopes for shipping.
